General Info

Located in the west end of Hagerstown, Maryland, Western Heights Middle School proudly serves over 850 students and their families. We view each day as a new opportunity for our students to try new things, increase their knowledge, and become the people they are meant to be. To that end, our 120+ staff members are dedicated to creating an engaging learning environment that supports student growth and challenges them to consistently reach further. 

WHMS is proud to offer a learning environment that incorporates arts integration for all and includes two magnet avenues open to students, one for those who are gifted in English Language Arts (Avenue A) and a second for visual and performing arts (Avenue B). The entire student body reaps the benefits of the expanded course offerings these programs allow us to provide.
